Following the launch of its budget-friendly smartphone, the Nothing Phone (2a), in March, tech startup Nothing is introducing a special edition for India. A teaser on Flipkart hints at the unveiling of this new edition on April 29th at 12 noon.
Nothing Phone (2a) new edition:
The teaser doesn’t give away much about the phone, except for showing the familiar rear design of the Phone (2a) against a blue background.
Shortly after launching the Phone (2a) in March, Nothing revealed a unique ‘Community Edition Project,’ inviting community members to share ideas for a special edition of the phone. Nothing co-founder Carl Pei tweeted on X, mentioning they received over 400 entries, with some closely matching the new variants they’re working on.

Recently, a new Nothing Phone, codenamed ‘PacManPro’ and labeled with model number A142P, appeared online. The original Nothing Phone (2a) carries the model number A142 and codenames ‘Aerodactyl’ and ‘PacMan.’ The similarity in codenames and model numbers hints that the new version might be a Pro model of the Phone (2a).
