The launch details of the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G smartphones in India have been disclosed in a recent report.
Vivo is preparing to introduce the V29 5G series of smartphones in India. These phones will come equipped with features tailored for the Indian market. However, it appears that Vivo may not release the V29 Pro 5G smartphones for the global market.
The vanilla Vivo V29 5G smartphone was recently launched for the global market. Now, Vivo is working on bringing the Vivo V29 Pro 5G smartphone to the Indian market. The launch timeline for these upcoming smartphones in India has been exclusively revealed by 91Mobiles.
The report states that Vivo is planning to launch the Vivo V29 5G and Vivo V29 Pro 5G smartphones in India by the end of September. An official announcement regarding the launch is expected in the near future. Although specific India-specific features for the V29 5G series have not been disclosed in the report, it does confirm that the smartphones will be available in the Majestic Red color option.
The upcoming Vivo V29 5G series is expected to feature a premium design in India, similar to the Vivo V29e 5G smartphone. It’s worth noting that Vivo has no plans to launch the Vivo V29 Pro 5G smartphone outside of the Indian market.
The BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) listing has indicated that the launch of the V29 Pro 5G smartphone is imminent. This listing revealed the model number V2251. Additionally, the V29 Pro 5G was spotted in a GeekBench listing, which confirmed that it will be equipped with the MediaTek Dimensity 8200 SoC, paired with a Mali-G610 GPU and up to 12GB of RAM. The device is expected to feature a 6.7-inch curved AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and a centered punch-hole for the selfie camera. Other anticipated specifications include a 64MP primary rear camera, a 5000mAh battery with 66W fast charging support, and IP68 dust and water resistance.
